1/8- Impact has announced that Tom Hannifan (better known as Tom Phillips) will be the new voice of Impact Wrestling going forward.
PWInsider is reporting that Kimber Lee and Brandi Lauren are finishing up with the company. This has been disputed by Kimber. Ian Riccaboni will be calling the ROH Championship Match at Hard to Kill while Bobby Cruise will be the ring announcer. 1/7- WWE announced that Impact Knockouts Champion, Mickie James will be in the Royal Rumble Match. They clearly called her the Impact Knockouts Champion on TV. Scott D'Amore responded to the events, saying that WWE wanted her for the event and Scott was open to it. The KO Tag Title Match is in jeopardy as the Iinspiration won't be able to compete due to Covid related issues. No word on what this means. Additionally, Jake Something was pulled from the Preshow 4-Way X Division Match and replaced by the debuting "Speedball" Mike Bailey. 1/5- PWInsider has confirmed that Matt Striker is finishing up with Impact Wrestling. D'Lo Brown currently remains on commentary. 1/4- During Wrestle Kingdom, it was announced that New Japan was returning to AXS TV starting March 3. It will air immediately after Impact Wrestling. It would appear that BTI is being scrapped as Impact in 60 is airing before Impact. 1/2- Rohit Raju announced that he was a free agent, ending him time in Impact. His profile has been removed from the Impact Roster page. While 2022 marks the 20-Year Anniversary of TNA Wrestling as an entity, this week marks the 5-Year Anniversary of when Anthem Sports and Entertainment officially announced their purchase of our favorite wrestling organization. Prior to the acquisition, TNA Wrestling had been on a downward spiral for the past few years. After losing their Spike deal, they also lost their Destination America deal and were on their third network. Welcome to Part Two of the Best of 2021.
